I think I mentioned a few days ago that its been a rough week for me.  I think its a mid-summer crisis.  Nothing to worry about too deeply, but I don’t want to let it get out of control either.  I’m too tired to get into details, but basically its just hard as shit to raise kids.   Sorry for the profanity, but there are moments that call for it- and this is one.

When I get stressed, I either sleep, drive, or cook.  Since sleeping and driving don’t work so well with 3 kids in tow… I’ve been cooking.  A lot.  My kitchen is a disaster.

Here’s what I’ve made so far this week…

Roasted Tomato and Basil Pasta

Blueberry Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream

A Lot of Iced Tea

Too much Iced Coffee

Homemade Sausage & Egg Breakfast Sandwiches

Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes

Smoky Gouda Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Homemade Croutons

Gluten-Free Pancakes

I’ve also made Homemade Raw Cream Butter (super excited about that!), blueberry scones (Ian ate the whole batch), and have a lot on my list for today…

Blueberry Tart, more blueberry scones, pumpkin scones, banana bread, Mollie Katzen’s Veggie Soup, veggie dip, pickles, cabbage slaw, and tomorrow- raspberry jam.

Perhaps someday I’ll get around to getting most of the recipes up here.  I created a link for the ones that are (just click the pic).  For now, we will have to just gaze at the photos and drool a little.  That pasta is making me think about adding it to today’s list.  It was amazing.
